RadioNemo of North America
RadioNemo’s trucking roots trace back to the original and legendary “Road Gang,” Charlie Douglas’ pioneering radio show dedicated to the professional over-the-road truck driver. Part of the “Road Gang” from its earliest days, Dave Nemo has kept those standards and traditions alive throughout his broadcasting career.
Created by Dave Nemo and his partner Michael Burns, RadioNemo has built a loyal audience of more than 1.5 million listeners nationwide. Listeners of SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Channel 146 know RadioNemo has continued to be a reliable morning friend. With The Tim Ridley Show, The Dave Nemo Show, and Dave Nemo Weekends, RadioNemo of North America provides 40 hours of original programming through Road Dog Trucking and on the SiriusXM app.
And when they’re not in the studio, they’re on the road broadcasting everywhere that trucking can be found. Want to learn more about RadioNemo? The Foundations of PodWheels
The development of PodWheels can be traced back to the career path taken by Greg Thompson, the founder and executive producer of PodWheels.
After more than a decade of working in media as a producer, reporter. and feature writer, Greg joined the transportation industry in 1998. As part of a public relations team for a large truckload carrier, Greg created content highlighting and engaging the carrier’s driving community.
14 years of daily conversations with the trucking industry provided Greg with an invaluable education. He interviewed hundreds of drivers and executives for feature stories, video segments, and audio interviews.
While working in transportation, Greg discovered a well-produced and tightly edited audio interview of a driving professional is a highly effective form of communication. Observations made by professional drivers during a podcast speak directly to listening drivers. They hear stories about themselves told by themselves.
In many ways, that idea is the foundation of PodWheels. If you would like to learn more about Greg Thompson and his individual experience, please click here.
