We are thrilled to welcome Jacob Pierce from the American Trucking Associations to a special edition of the podcast. Jacob is an Executive Director for ATA overseeing the Safety Management Council and the Transportation Security Council. As you will hear during the podcast, Jacob is the point person on staff at ATA serving as the liaison for the National Truck Driving & National Step Van Driving Championships.

In addition to responding to questions regarding the course layout and the overall preparations for NTDC 2024 in Indianapolis, Jacob took some time to share how the annual Super Bowl of Safety has become a true labor love during his time at ATA. You’ll also hear Jacob look back on how he and Eugene Mulero from Transport Topics launched their NTDC history project that eventually opened the opportunity to co-author the book From Roadeo To TDC, which chronicles the history of the event.
